This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 10 wins and 11 losses; John Doe! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 21 wins and 24 losses; Ken Vrjalya!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Doe shoots in looking for a takedown. Vrjalya tries to sprawl out of it but Doe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vrjalya manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Vrjalya shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Doe pinned against the cage. Doe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Vrjalya dives in and grabs Doe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Doe pushes down on Vrjalya's head and hops out.

Doe closes the distance and clinches up with Vrjalya, looking for a takedown. Doe pushes Vrjalya against the cage but Vrjalya circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Vrjalya is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
