PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mountain Beast (ranked 4376 p4p, 3605 weight class) and Lucas Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beast shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Beast was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rodriguez dodges the ground and pound from Beast.
Beast is looking to take a break and control but Rodriguez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Beast has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Beast postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rodriguez can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rodriguez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beast. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Beast lands a strong strike to the head of Rodriguez. That's dazed him! Beast looking to finish here. Rodriguez is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Beast lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

In his post fight interview, Mountain Beast started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
