Knightley's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Some Bodies Gonna Get It ft. Three-Six Mafia. Cartwright has chosen Karma Chameleon as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Donny Knightley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cam Cartwright!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knightley clobbers Cartwright with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Knightley scores with a jab to the jaw.
Cartwright tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Knightley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Knightley half committed to a counter leg kick.

Cartwright closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Knightley throws a head punch that misses.
Cartwright throws a head punch that misses.
Cartwright tries to pull guard but Knightley won't allow it.
Knightley misses with a punch on the inside.
Cartwright lands a hook to the side of the head.
Knightley slows down the pace here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cartwright has clasped his hands together around Knightley's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cartwright looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Cartwright darts in looking for a takedown but Knightley gets double underhooks and turns Cartwright into the cage.
Knightley connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cartwright's hands.

A nice right hand lands inside from Cartwright.
Knightley lands a right hand.
Knightley misses with some punches.
Cartwright has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Knightley after a bit of a struggle.
Donny Knightley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cam Cartwright.

Knightley misses with the head strike.
Knightley lands with a right to the head.
Knightley swings wildly with an uppercut but Cartwright uses good head movement to avoid it.
Knightley prevents a body shot from Cartwright.

Knightley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cartwright is looking to clinch but Knightley is avoiding it.
Knightley swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Cartwright has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Knightley.
Knightley throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Cartwright counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Knightley!

Knightley dodges the ground and pound from Cartwright.
Knightley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cartwright on the ground.
Cartwright wants to control but Knightley is keeping him busy.
Knightley wants to get back to his feet.
Cartwright trying to control the action but Knightley is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cartwright in side control lands a decent elbow.
Knightley wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Cartwright is looking to take a break and control but Knightley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Knightley is working to avoid the ground and pound but Cartwright connects with a decent elbow.
Knightley is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cartwright has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Cartwright wants to lay and pray for a moment but Knightley keeps working.
Cartwright has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Knightley is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Cartwright lands some shots froms side control.
Cartwright lands an elbow.
Knightley is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cartwright is controlling him well.

Knightley sneaks out the side door and pushes Cartwright away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cartwright looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Knightley bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cartwright's head.
Cartwright tries to clinch up
and Knightley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A low kick from Knightley misses
enabling Cartwright to counter with a crisp jab.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Donny Knightley dominated that round.

Cartwright closes the distance but Knightley moves to the side
letting Knightley counter with a right hand.
Knightley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cartwright can do to turn this around?
Knightley swats away the attempt to clinch by Cartwright.
Cartwright tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Knightley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cartwright staying out of range there.
Cartwright is looking for the big counter here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cartwright tries to close the distance and clinch up but Knightley swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Knightley scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
No luck for Cartwright with that takedown attempt.

Knightley lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Cartwright is looking to close the distance but Knightley sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Cartwright crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Cartwright is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
