And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Penn!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis cracks Penn with an open hand slap.
Penn has a takedown stuffed.
Horrible takedown by Penn or perhaps it was just good defense by Ellis which made him look bad.
Ellis misses with a looping right.
Ellis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Anthony Ellis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Penn.
Ellis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Penn looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Penn looks gassed!
Penn throws a leg kick but Ellis sees it coming and moves out of range.
Ellis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Penn fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Ellis lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Penn at a distance.
Ellis moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Penn goes down! Can Ellis finish him!?

It looks like Nick Penn has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ellis wants to get up but he can't break Penn's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Penn seems to have recovered his senses.
Ellis wants to pass the guard but Penn is keeping the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Penn shoots for a double leg takedown but Ellis sprawls well. He's pushed Penn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ellis catches Penn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Ellis closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Penn out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Anthony Ellis!
