Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mateo Hernandez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mazda Three! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Three with a lazy takedown attempt and Hernandez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Three uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hernandez. Three changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hernandez tries to avoid it but Three manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hernandez to the ground. Hernandez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nice sprawl there from Hernandez as Three shoots in. Mateo Hernandez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mazda Three. Three gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hernandez makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Mazda Three seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Three shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hernandez counters with a right hand to the body. Three misses with a takedown attempt and Hernandez counters with a straight that turns Three's legs to rubber! Hernandez pushes forward with more strikes and Three goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mateo Hernandez! In his post fight interview, Mateo Hernandez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
