Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lank Antunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neto Soares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Antunes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Soares swivels and escapes.
Soares stuffs the takedown.
Soares with a lazy takedown attempt
and Antunes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Soares's guard.
Antunes throws a strike but Soares rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Soares must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Antunes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Soares is controlling him.
Antunes trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Soares really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Antunes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Soares stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Antunes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
so Soares counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lank Antunes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Soares stands up from Antunes's guard - Soares perhaps looking for a knockout.

Antunes tries to roll over but Soares keeps him under control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Antunes tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Soares is working Antunes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Antunes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Soares can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Antunes controls Soares momentarily but Soares frees himself.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Antunes is really struggling to control Soares but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Soares postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Antunes doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Soares counters with a shoot takedown. Antunes fights it but they end up in guard.
Antunes is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Soares rolls with it to try and escape but Antunes cranks on the arm and Soares is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
