PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Temujin Namkhai (ranked 991 p4p, 1245 weight class) and John Akamu (ranked 112 p4p, 146 weight class). Namkhai comes to the cage accompanied by Batzorig Vaanchig - Mongolian Throat Singing. Akamu has chosen Be Yourself - Audioslave as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, John Akamu!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akamu misses with a takedown attempt
and Namkhai counters with a left to the body.
Akamu missing with a left hand there. Namkhai was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Namkhai throws the left hand but Akamu avoids the punch easily.
We've been told by Namkhai's head coaches at Little Lebowski Urban Achievers Gymnasium that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Akamu misses with a shot to the body
and Namkhai counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Namkhai moves forwards but Akamu connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Akamu punishes Namkhai's body with a nice straight punch.
Akamu lands a glancing blow to the side of Namkhai's head.
Namkhai jabs Akamu to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Namkhai lands with a nice body punch.
Akamu tries to clinch but Namkhai is having none of it.
Namkhai was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Akamu missing with a left hand there. Namkhai was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Akamu pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Akamu misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Namkhai dips to his left and cracks Akamu with an uppercut!
Akamu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Namkhai sees it coming and avoids it easily.
No joy there for Akamu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Namkhai swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Akamu moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Namkhai lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Akamu drops his hands momentarily and Namkhai takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Namkhai fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Akamu on the side of the head.
Namkhai waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Akamu.

Namkhai drops Akamu with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Akamu looks back up at him and smiles so Namkhai waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Akamu is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Namkhai moves in close and cracks Akamu with a massive right hand! Akamu, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Namkhai!
