Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronny Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boy comes into the arena with Everclear - The BOYs are back in town blaring out of the sound system. Volkov has chosen The Trooper by Iron Maiden as his entrance music. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!On his way into the ring it seems that Ronny Boy has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ronny Boy seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ronny Boy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Vincent Volkov! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Volkov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Volkov regains half guard. Boy seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Boy working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Volkov's thigh. Volkov counters though and makes it back to full guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Boy content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Boy working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Volkov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Boy throwing strikes from guard but Volkov blocks nicely. Volkov looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Volkov keeping full guard, as Boy tries to pass. Boy wants to control from the top but Volkov keeps moving. Boy missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Boy throwing strikes from guard but Volkov blocks nicely.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A swing and a miss from Volkov.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Boy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Boy lands in his opponent's guard. Volkov pulls Boy in close to his closed guard and prevents Boy from doing any damage or advancing position. Volkov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Boy trying to control but Volkov is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Boy's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Boy wants to control from the top but Volkov keeps moving. Volkov trying to control the position.
Volkov is adopting a defensive guard. Boy has gone for a leg lock! Volkov slips out almost immediately though and dives into Boy's guard. Boy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Volkov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Boy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Volkov manages to get himself to full guard.

He pushes Boy off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nice sprawl there from Volkov as Boy shoots in. Boy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Volkov defends it nicely. Volkov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronny Boy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Volkov scores with a crisp jab that stopped Boy in his tracks. Boy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Volkov's waist but Volkov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boy off to one side. Boy slips a straight right by Volkov. Volkov throws out a leg kick but Boy moves out of range and Volkov only half commits.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Boy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Volkov swivels and escapes. Boy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Danga de danga de dang - Volkov scores with a four punch combination! Volkov connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Volkov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boy moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nice takedown defense from Volkov. No joy for Boy on that attempt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Boy is defended easily by Volkov. Boy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Volkov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Vincent Volkov will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Boy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Boy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Volkov napping and manages to drive through into side control! Volkov is trying to buck Boy off. Boy tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boy working the strikes but Volkov uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

Boy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Volkov's head. Volkov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boy is working away from the top position though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Boy counters with a takedown into side control. Boy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Volkov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Sloppy strikes there by Boy. You can see the frustration on Volkov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Volkov is looking for a sweep. Boy throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Boy in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Boy creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Boy wants to control but Volkov is keeping him busy. Boy grinds an elbow into Volkov's temple. Volkov loads up on a big right hand but Boy slips the punch. Boy takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The fighters circling - Volkov throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Volkov throws and low kick but Boy moves out of range easily. Boy shoots for a takedown but Volkov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Boy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Boy slips a jab and a cross from Volkov.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Volkov.
Volkov misses with a leg kick. Boy shoots in for a double leg but Volkov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A decent looking cross lands there for Volkov. Boy misses with a few strikes there.
And that's the end of the fight! Ronny Boy showed his dominance in that final round. I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
