Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Violence (ranked 1047 p4p, 2263 weight class) and Ton Tyk (ranked 169 p4p, 369 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Violence might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Poi E - Patea Maori Club. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Violence drives through with a takedown into Tyk's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Tyk looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Violence is defending well. Tyk quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Violence has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Tyk celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ton Tyk!
A relieved looking Ton Tyk thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
