The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valerio shoots in for a double leg but Lewis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Lewis gets tackled into the cage by Valerio. Valerio maintains the clinch.

Valerio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lewis keeps working.

Valerio tries to close the distance and clinch but Lewis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lewis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Horrible takedown attempt by Valerio or perhaps it was just good defense by Lewis, which made it look bad.
