And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 48 wins and 28 losses; Koryu Miyagi!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Miyagi moves into range and clinches up with Johnson.

Miyagi has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Johnson is trying to keep an underhook but Miyagi manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Miyagi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johnson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Johnson wants to get back to full guard but Miyagi has passed into side control.

Johnson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Miyagi's best efforts.

Johnson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Miyagi pulls his head out easily.

Miyagi is trying to stick to Johnson's back but Johnson is turning into Miyagi. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Miyagi's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Johnson.

Johnson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Johnson is looking to pass into half guard but Miyagi pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Miyagi is in guard.

Johnson has his foot on Miyagi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miyagi works his way back into a safe position though.

Miyagi is keen to just control but Johnson is a slippery customer.

Johnson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Miyagi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Miyagi's back!

Drake Johnson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
