This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 38 wins and 18 losses; Michael Cruz! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 21 wins and 23 losses; Ken Vrjalya! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Vrjalya shoots in for a double leg but Cruz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Vrjalya shoots in but Cruz avoids the takedown attempt easily. Vrjalya dives in for a single leg takedown but Cruz sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes. Michael Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Vrjalya. Cruz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. You can see the frustration on Vrjalya's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Cruz not allowing Vrjalya to control his hands. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Cruz's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Cruz is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
