Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hercules Hoost (ranked 2742 p4p, 3199 weight class) and Pete Sirah (ranked 327 p4p, 360 weight class). Hercules Hoost has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hercules Hoost! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pete Sirah! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sirah looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sirah fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sirah with a lazy takedown attempt and Hoost connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hercules Hoost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pete Sirah. Sirah closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hoost quickly recovers to half guard. Sirah wants to pass the guard but Hoost is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sirah works his way into full mount! Hoost is squirming around, avoiding Sirah's attempts to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sirah tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Sirah has hold of Hoost's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hoost manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Sirah looking to control but Hoost is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Sirah goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hoost is on top in guard.
Sirah working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hoost doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hoost manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sirah looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sirah working a defensive guard but Hoost manages to pass into side control anyway.
Sirah regains half guard. Sirah trying to control but Hoost postures up.
Sirah might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hoost haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Sirah looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoost slows the pace down in half guard. Sirah wants to improve his position but Hoost is controlling well.
Sirah felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Sirah gets back to full guard.
Sirah looking for a guillotine here but Hoost defends easily.
Sirah looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sirah working for submissions but it's allowed Hoost to get to half guard.
Sirah is trying to control but Hoost passes into side control!
Sirah is looking to regain half guard here but Hoost keeps moving and retains side control. Sirah keeps trying to improve his position. Sirah regains half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sirah moves into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sirah escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hoost gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Sirah dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Sirah fails with the takedown. Hoost looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Sirah changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hoost tries to avoid it but Sirah manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hoost to the ground. Hoost escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. It appears Hoost was looking to counter with a kick there. Sirah shoots in for a double leg but Hoost sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A little feinted left hand from Hoost on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Hercules Hoost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pete Sirah. Sirah fails with the takedown and Hoost counters with a lovely straight right hand! Sirah misses with a wild body shot. A quick step to the side and Hoost tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Sirah throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hoost finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sirah closes the distance and clinches up with Hoost, looking for a takedown. Sirah pushes Hoost against the cage but Hoost circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. It appears Hoost was looking to counter with a kick there. Sirah dives in and grabs Hoost's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hoost pushes down on Sirah's head and hops out. An attempted straight right counter from Hoost misses the target. No luck for Sirah with that takedown attempt. It looked like Hoost wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Hercules Hoost is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sirah is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoost keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. And Hoost counters with a quick kick to the body but Sirah blocks it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sirah. Sirah throws a leg kick that is checked and Hoost counters with a stiff right hand. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sirah. It looked like Hoost was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Sirah. Sirah misses the body punch and Hoost counters with a nice right hand that sends Sirah toppling to the canvas! Sirah scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Hoost finish him?!
Sirah is rocked! Sirah misses with a takedown attempt and Hoost counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Sirah out cold! What a finish! Hoost is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hercules Hoost!
