Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Aldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Rojas !
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rojas shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Aldo napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Rojas sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Aldo is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Aldo's coaches at Cozad MMA Rio have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Aldo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rojas 's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Rojas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aldo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rojas lands a left and a right that send Aldo crashing to the mat, dazed. Rojas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Aldo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rojas shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Aldo is on queer street and Rojas is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Victor Rojas !
