Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Top Shottah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Bartone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bartone has chosen Jay-Z - Empire State of Mind as his entrance music. Top Shottah has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Top Shottah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vic Bartone!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartone throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bartone throws a series of punches but Shottah moves out of range.

Bartone throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Bartone escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shottah gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bartone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shottah can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bartone throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Shottah shoots in for a takedown but Bartone shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Bartone throws the kick towards the body but Shottah avoids it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shottah, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
