And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Scoot McGruff!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
McGruff looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
McGruff looks to score with a jab to the body but Lewis is just out of range.
Lewis was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lewis on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McGruff. McGruff obviously looking to wear him down.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McGruff.
A head kick by McGruff misses
and Lewis counters with a crisp right hand that drops McGruff! Lewis lets McGruff back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
It looks like Scoot McGruff has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McGruff lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lewis circles away quickly and effectively.
Lewis swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Lewis checks the leg kick.
McGruff throws a leg kick that is checked
and McGruff takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McGruff fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
McGruff fails with an attempt to clinch.
McGruff misses with a takedown
and Lewis counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
