Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sand Storm (ranked 4380 p4p, 4372 weight class) and Dave Pennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sand Storm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Pennis! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Winston Howard and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Storm tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Nice takedown defense from Pennis. No joy for Storm on that attempt. Pennis fails with the takedown. Pennis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Storm napping and manages to drive through into side control! Storm throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Storm rushes Pennis and presses him up against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pennis takes an elbow to the forehead. Pennis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Storm keeps the fight on the outside. A head kick misses from Pennis. Pennis looking to score a takedown here. Storm is defending well but Pennis drives through and ends up in Storm's guard. Storm is wriggling around but Pennis manages to pass to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm keeps control of the position for the meantime. Storm tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Pennis trying to control from half guard but Storm is working away. Pennis is working for a submission of some sort.
Storm is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pennis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pennis's back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Storm missing with punches from the back. Storm is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Pennis has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pennis trying to control the position but Storm manages to sink in the hooks. Pennis is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Storm really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pennis is really stuck here.

Storm is not going to allow Pennis to sit and survive in this position. Pennis looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pennis is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Pennis is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Pennis preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Storm. Storm lands a shot to the head. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Sand Storm dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Storm moves into the clinch successfully.
Pennis tries to pull guard but Storm holds him up against the cage and eventually Pennis drops back down to his feet.
Pennis is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Pennis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Storm goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Storm is stalling here.

Sand Storm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Pennis. Storm has Pennis pressed against the cage, preventing Pennis from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm jumps guard and drags Pennis to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Pennis trying to control but Storm is working from the bottom. Storm lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pennis working a defensive guard but Storm passes into half guard.
Well, if Storm is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Storm trying to pass the guard but Pennis defending well. Storm prevents Pennis from improving his position. Storm is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Pennis wants to improve his position but Storm is controlling well.
Storm will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pennis is breathing heavily. Storm is controlling the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pennis tries to roll over but Storm keeps him under control. Pennis keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Sand Storm overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Pennis is trying to stand up here but Storm is controlling him well.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Storm throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pennis's waist but Pennis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Storm off to one side. Storm closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pennis circles away. Pennis shoots in and drives through. Storm sprawls well. Pennis throws a series of punches but Storm moves out of range. Storm instigates a clinch. Storm can't get the takedown.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Storm is trying to drag Pennis to the mat but Pennis just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Pennis has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Storm is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Sand Storm dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Pennis tries to close the distance and clinch but Storm swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pennis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Storm shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pennis but Pennis pushes him off and we're back to square one. Storm throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Pennis shoots in for a takedown but Storm shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Storm is looking to clinch. Storm moves into range and clinches up with Pennis. Storm stops a takedown attempt from Pennis.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Storm decides to pull guard. Pennis wants to control from the top but Storm keeps moving. Pennis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Storm. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pennis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Storm is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pennis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pennis trying to control but Storm is working from the bottom. Pennis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pennis ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pennis no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Storm is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pennis can do to turn this around? Storm controlling from the top position. Pennis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Storm showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Storm stands and steps away. Pennis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Storm gets a takedown into half guard. Storm is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pennis is trying to control but Storm manages to pass to mount!
And that's the end of the fight! Sand Storm showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Storm, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
