Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Khabib Makarov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gregor Orlav!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makarov drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Makarov throws an elbow that misses. Orlav uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Makarov's guard. Nice move by Orlav!
Makarov looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Orlav has picked Makarov up and slammed him! Makarov can't keep hold of the triangle and Orlav manages to pass to side control!
Makarov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Orlav wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Orlav is looking to take a break and control but Makarov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Makarov is trying to improve his position.

Makarov tries to control but Orlav manages to take his back.
Orlav just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Makarov rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Orlav prevents Makarov from standing back up.
Orlav thows a huge punch but Makarov dodges it nicely.
Orlav is looking for a kimura here.
Makarov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Makarov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Orlav doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Makarov is tightening it up a little... Orlav has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Orlav reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Orlav taps out! Nice BJJ there by Makarov!
