The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Der Livery moves away from the strike by Smolarek.
Smolarek fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Smolarek on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Smolarek throws a hook but Van Der Livery blocks it.
Smolarek rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Van Der Livery counters with a right hand to the body.
Smolarek throws a poor cross that misses
and Van Der Livery connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Van Der Livery walks into a left hand.
Smolarek is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Van Der Livery.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Van Der Livery definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Smolarek throws a jab when Van Der Livery was well out of range.

Van Der Livery lands a left and a right that send Smolarek crashing to the mat, dazed. Van Der Livery thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Smolarek is rocked!
Smolarek leaves his chin hanging out and Van Der Livery seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Smolarek crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
