The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson throws an off balance right hand
and Jansen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Thompson moves out of range of the strikes.
Thompson misses with a hook. Jansen ducked under it nicely.

Jansen lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Thompson looks to land a right hand but Jansen moved out of range.

Jansen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Thompson.
Jansen is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Thompson with a body shot.

and Jansen counters with a right hand to the body.
Jansen lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A telegraphed right hand from Thompson misses the target.
Jansen 's coach down at Julians Sports Bar & Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jansen 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jansen throws an overhand right that lands on Thompson's shoulder, as Thompson tries to avoid the shot.

Thompson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Sprawl N Brawl in the buildup to the fight.
Jansen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Thompson jabs Jansen right on the nose. Jansen blinks but takes it well.
Thompson lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Jansen can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Thompson and Jansen drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Thompson.
