The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ukkonen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Reponen sprawls well initially but Ukkonen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Reponen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Ukkonen is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Reponen has managed to free his arm - good work.

Ukkonen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reponen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ukkonen.

Ukkonen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Reponen defends it well.
Reponen is staying active underneath Ukkonen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Ukkonen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Ukkonen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ukkonen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Reponen sees it coming and defends easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ukkonen is nestled in close to Reponen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
