The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watanabe swats away the attempt to clinch by GOD.
Watanabe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. GOD sees it coming and avoids it easily.
GOD tries to keep at a distance but Watanabe has taken the fight into the clinch.
Watanabe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Watanabe wants the takedown. GOD is fighting it off but Watanabe persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in GOD's guard against the cage.

GOD is looking for a sweep. Watanabe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Watanabe wants to stand but his hand is trapped. GOD uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
GOD doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Watanabe counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in GOD's guard now.
GOD had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Watanabe is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. GOD Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Watanabe's back instead.
GOD doesn't have the hooks in and Watanabe manages to turn into his guard.
