PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sss Sss (ranked 23535 p4p, 6076 weight class) and Sss Sss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 82 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sss Sss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 75 - 23 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sss Sss!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Fighter A shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Fighter B wants to improve his position but Fighter A is controlling well.
Fighter B is looking to control Fighter A's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fighter B avoid being mounted?
Fighter B is positioning himself well to prevent Fighter A advancing to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter B throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter A keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Fighter A wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fighter B keeps working.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Fighter A throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fighter B's waist but Fighter B gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter A off to one side.
Fighter B looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fighter B.
Fighter A throws a quick counter kick to the body but Fighter B avoids it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fighter B closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fighter A circles away.
It appears Fighter A was looking to counter with a kick there.
Fighter B fails with a takedown attempt.
Sss Sss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sss Sss.
Fighter B shoots in and drives through. Fighter A sprawls well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Fighter B just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromFighter A.

Fighter A scores with a takedown into Fighter B's guard.
Fighter B seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fighter A controls the pace.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fighter B can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fighter B has his hands on Fighter A's head, controlling the position.
Fighter B looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter A trying to control the position from guard on top but Fighter B is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sss Sss dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Fighter A tries for a takedown but Fighter B sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And Fighter B responds with a good body kick, but Fighter A manages to step out the way in time.
Fighter A fails with a takedown attempt.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Fighter A.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A is looking to take a break and control but Fighter B is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter A is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Fighter B will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fighter B is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Fighter A off and has taken his back!
Fighter B gets his hands free as Fighter A looks to control.
Fighter B just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Fighter A is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fighter B can do to turn this around?

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B misses with an elbow to the head.
Fighter A trying to control the hands but Fighter B breaks the grip.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fighter B is not going to allow Fighter A to sit and survive in this position.
Sss Sss overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sss Sss showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Fighter B misses with a takedown attempt
and Fighter A counters with a nice body kick.
Fighter B leaves Fighter A with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fighter B is trying to counter with his kicks.

Fighter B feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fighter B engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Fighter B is continuing to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fighter A holds on and takes a little breather.
Fighter B content to stall in guard here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Fighter A with a poor takedown
and Fighter B counters with a nice kick to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Fighter A throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fighter B was covering up waiting for the punch and Fighter A finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fighter B has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A trying to control the position from guard on top but Fighter B is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fighter B wants to sweep but no luck.
Fighter A sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter B has Fighter A pulled in close to control his posture.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Sss Sss.
I think Fighter B has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
