Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Cox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Inferno Subbin!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Donatello Bradman and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cox throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Subbin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Cox stalks Subbin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Subbin's face. Subbin staggers backwards, shaken.
Cox fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Good shot there by Cox.
Subbin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Subbin takes one to the chin there.
Subbin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Cox lands with a nice body punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cox lands a lovely overhand right.
Cox lands a glancing blow to the side of Subbin's head.

Subbin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Cox scores with the left hand. Subbin knows he should have avoided that one.
Subbin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Cox lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Cox.

and Subbin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Cox!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Subbin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cox keeps working.

The ground and pound from Subbin seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Subbin cracks Cox with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Subbin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Subbin lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Cox.

Subbin somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Subbin is landing with strikes from the back.
Subbin lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Subbin lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Subbin punches the canvas rather than the man.
What can Cox do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Subbin cracks Cox with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Cox from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Oh Cox is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cox covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Can Cox hold on?! Subbin is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Subbin scoring with big shots to the body. Cox is looking for a way out. A despairing look towards the ref and the official steps in to stop the fight. Cox was obviously done but didn't want to tap out.
