Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gilberto Pilao (ranked 2382 p4p, 2262 weight class) and Javontonius Smiff (ranked 365 p4p, 355 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Gilberto Pilao has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Gilberto Pilao seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Javontonius Smiff!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smiff manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pilao on his heels. He'll look to pass Pilao's guard now, I'm sure.
Smiff forces his way into half guard.
Smiff looks to land a strike but Pilao avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Pilao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smiff on the ground.
Pilao looking for a sweep. Not yet Pilao, not yet.
Smiff controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Smiff has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Pilao wants to reverse the position here. Smiff has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Pilao is forced to tap! Pilao looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Javontonius Smiff!
