Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Minato Tokugawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlos Gomez!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Gomez misses with a hook. Tokugawa ducked under it nicely.
Gomez throws a hook to the side of Tokugawa's head but Tokugawa sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jab by Gomez.
Gomez shoots for a double leg takedown but Tokugawa sprawls well. He's pushed Gomez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gomez falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tokugawa counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Carlos Gomez has been cut.
Gomez throws a head kick but Tokugawa moves out of range.
Gomez throws a jab but it's blocked by Tokugawa.
Gomez slips a jab from Tokugawa.
Tokugawa sends Gomez crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Tokugawa is motioning to the referee to let Gomez up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Gomez is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gomez switches off momentarily and Tokugawa cracks him with a monster right hand! Gomez topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Tokugawa dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Tokugawa!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Minato Tokugawa!
An out of breath Minato Tokugawa thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
