Barkley fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Barkley shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Charles Barkley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davis scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Davis thuds his right hand into Barkley's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Charles Barkley has been cut.

Barkley is breathing heavily.
Davis stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Davis scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Barkley doesn't seem bothered though.
Barkley has a takedown stuffed.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Davis, right into the meat.
Davis lands with a kick to the temple. Barkley shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Barkley is rocked!
Davis lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Barkley falls backwards - clearly groggy! Davis dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Craig Davis!
Craig Davis is the new heavyweight champion!
