The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Montoya cracks a nice hook into Morikatsu's ribs.
Morikatsu closes this distance looking for a takedown but Montoya circles away.
Morikatsu misses with a looping left.
Nasu Morikatsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Montoya fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Eusebio Montoya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nasu Morikatsu.

Morikatsu seems to have recovered his senses.
Montoya lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Morikatsu at a distance.
Morikatsu swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Montoya to counter with a crisp jab.
A slapping leg kick lands for Montoya.
Morikatsu moves forwards but Montoya connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Montoya lands a big uppercut and Morikatsu crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Morikatsu looks OK. Montoya waves Morikatsu back to his feet!

Morikatsu has his takedown stuffed
and Montoya counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Montoya looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Montoya fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Montoya fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Morikatsu square on the jaw! Damn, Morikatsu is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
