Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Donimoes Pizza (ranked 4986 p4p, 3743 weight class) and Sito Qobakeri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Donimoes Pizza looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donimoes Pizza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sito Qobakeri! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Qobakeri goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Pizza takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Pizza dives in and grabs Qobakeri's left leg, looking for a takedown. Qobakeri pushes down on Pizza's head and hops out. Qobakeri is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Pizza changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Qobakeri tries to avoid it but Pizza manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Qobakeri to the ground. Qobakeri escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Pizza tries for a takedown but Qobakeri circles away easily and Qobakeri counters with a series of strikes. Pizza will be more careful next time no doubt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donimoes Pizza. That's going to take a lot out of him. Qobakeri lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Pizza backs up against the cage.
It looks like Donimoes Pizza has been cut. Qobakeri throws a series of strikes that have Pizza backpedaling.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pizza has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pizza there as he acknowledges the shot. Qobakeri lands a jab to Pizza's midsection. Pizza is breathing heavily. Pizza rushes Qobakeri and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Pizza is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Qobakeri working hard to break the clinch. Qobakeri breaks from the clinch.
Pizza shoots and misses and Qobakeri counters with a straight right hand. Pizza closes this distance looking for a takedown but Qobakeri circles away.

Qobakeri leaves Pizza with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Qobakeri lands with a nice combination. Pizza backs away looking to recover. Qobakeri is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Qobakeri throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pizza's head. Decent striking displayed by Qobakeri there. Pizza will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A kick lands to the mid section there for Qobakeri. Qobakeri pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pizza back to the cage. Qobakeri follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Donimoes Pizza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jab from Qobakeri. Qobakeri darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Qobakeri cracks a nice hook into Pizza's ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pizza tries for a takedown but Qobakeri circles away easily and Qobakeri counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nice uppercut lands for Qobakeri. That snapped Pizza's head back.
Pizza fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Qobakeri is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Qobakeri pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pizza back to the cage. Qobakeri follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Pizza showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Qobakeri.
Pizza throws a counter high kick but Qobakeri was just alert enough to avoid it. Qobakeri gets caught flat footed, as Pizza shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Pizza thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Qobakeri wants to stand and escape but Pizza is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pizza is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Qobakeri utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Qobakeri wants to stand and escape but Pizza is having none of it. Pizza forces his way into half guard. Pizza seems to be working for a kimura but Qobakeri defends the submission attempt. Qobakeri is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pizza takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Pizza in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Qobakeri tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Pizza!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Donimoes Pizza! After the fight, Donimoes Pizza was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
