Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Timoteo Medeiros (ranked 4435 p4p, 23879 weight class) and Bum Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medeiros cracks Fighter with a good jab.
Medeiros throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Fighter takes one on the button.
Medeiros punishes Fighter's body with a nice straight punch.
Medeiros scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Fighter closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Fighter has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Medeiros regains guard immediately.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fighter postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Medeiros is looking to stand up but Fighter isn't so interested in that idea.

Fighter gets to his feet - Medeiros follows without any prompting.

Fighter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Medeiros wants to get back to his feet.
Fighter slips a nice elbow through Medeiros's hands, connecting with Medeiros's forehead.
Fighter is taking a breather. Medeiros says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Fighter decides to stand up.

Fighter has closed the distance and engaged Medeiros in a clinch.

Fighter turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Medeiros knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fighter on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fighter prevents Medeiros from escaping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Let's hope that Fighter has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That was a close round but I would say that Timoteo Medeiros will probably get the nod.
