Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, X Caillat Killer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killer fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lewis has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Killer scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Killer moves into range and clinches up with Lewis.

Killer pulls guard successfully.

Lewis drops back looking for a leg! Killer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Killer manages to kick Lewis off! Lewis jumps back into Killer's guard.

Lewis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Killer looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lewis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lewis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Killer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lewis's guard.

Killer tries to free his leg and advance position but Lewis is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Killer gets to his feet. Lewis looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Killer looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Killer darts in and clinches Lewis up against the cage.
Killer tries to score a body lock takedown but Lewis shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Killer is trying to break free.
Lewis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Lewis looking for a takedown.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Killer.

Killer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Killer pushes Lewis up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Killer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Killer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lewis looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Killer turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Killer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Killer shoots in but Lewis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for X Caillat Killer. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Killer closes the distance and clinches up with Lewis, looking for a takedown. Killer pushes Lewis against the cage but Lewis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Killer tries to clinch up but Lewis circles away and keeps his distance.
Lewis throws out a counter right but Killer avoids it with no problem.
Killer shoots and misses
and Lewis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Killer is breathing heavily.
Killer moves in looking to clinch but Lewis pushes him off.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lewis! But no joy.
Killer shoots in for a takedown but Lewis shows good takedown defense.
Lewis swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Killer.
Lewis throws out a counter right but Killer avoids it with no problem.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Killer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lewis is fending him off so far but Killer persists. Nope, Lewis circles away and we're back to standing.
It seemed like Lewis was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Killer shoots for a double leg takedown but Lewis sprawls well. He's pushed Killer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lewis looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Killer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lewis counters with a straight right hand.
Killer misses with a few strikes there.

and Lewis counters with a crisp right hand that drops Killer! Lewis lets Killer back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Killer is rocked!

It looks like X Caillat Killer has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Killer looks to clinch
and Lewis counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jay Lewis!
