The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
St Pierre fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kennedy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. St Pierre tries to avoid it but Kennedy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag St Pierre to the ground. St Pierre escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kennedy tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and St Pierre is able to avoid easily.
St Pierre feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
