Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Warrior (ranked 4355 p4p, 4382 weight class) and Marvin Loana (ranked 520 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Warrior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marvin Loana! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loana thuds his right hand into Warrior's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Warrior tries for a takedown but Loana circles away easily so Loana counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Loana missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Loana is stalling in the full guard. Loana trying to control the position from guard on top but Warrior is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Loana slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Loana working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Warrior is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Loana has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Loana looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Warrior shoots for a double leg takedown but Loana sprawls well. He's pushed Warrior's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Warrior fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Loana. Warrior closes the distance and clinches up with Loana, looking for a takedown. Warrior pushes Loana against the cage but Loana circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Warrior sets himself, and Loana steps forward looking for the clinch! Warrior avoids it this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Warrior. That's going to take a lot out of him. Warrior tries to keep at a distance but Loana has taken the fight into the clinch. Warrior has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Loana after a bit of a struggle. Loana lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Warrior backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Warrior wants a takedown but no success here.

Loana keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Warrior's efforts to push away. Warrior jumps guard but Loana turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Warrior trying to land knees to the body.
Warrior tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Loana smiles and moves away.
Loana dives in and grabs Warrior's left leg, looking for a takedown. Warrior pushes down on Loana's head and hops out. Loana misses with a hook. Warrior ducked under it nicely. Warrior fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Loana avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Loana as Warrior shoots in. Loana rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Warrior moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Loana lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Loana has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Warrior is trying to break the clinch but Loana is controlling him. Loana lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Loana is struggling to control the position. Loana misses with some punches.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Loana misses with a punch on the inside.
Loana is defending well against a takedown attempt. Warrior is trying to drag Loana to the mat but Loana just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Marvin Loana dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Loana. Warrior throws Loana to one side and escapes! Warrior gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Loana. Loana is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Warrior tries to clinch up. Loana jabbing away but nothing is landing. Warrior fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Loana feints the counter takedown. Loana lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Warrior sprawling to the canvas. Loana follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Warrior hang on?
It looks like Jimmy Warrior has been cut. Loana has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Loana is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Warrior keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Marvin Loana has got the better of the ground game so far. Loana is working for a kimura but Warrior is defending it quite comfortably.
Warrior could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Warrior is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Loana scores with a couple of nice shots. Loana tries to pass to full mount but Warrior defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Loana throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Loana lands with a punch from half guard. Loana controlling the action here. Warrior might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Warrior is looking to improve his position.
Loana landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Loana trying to control the action but Warrior is working from the bottom. Loana takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Loana lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Loana content to control rather than advance. Warrior wants to control but Loana is keeping busy.

Let's hope that Loana has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Loana is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Warrior sees it coming and defends easily. Loana is just content to waste time from the top position. Warrior takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Warrior has momentary wrist control but Loana slips an elbow through the middle. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Marvin Loana showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jimmy Warrior's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Nice sprawl there from Loana as Warrior shoots in. Loana loads up on a big right hand but Warrior slips the punch. Warrior tries to clinch but Loana moves out of range. Jimmy Warrior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Warrior tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Loana defends well and Warrior ends up having to push Loana into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Loana slows down the pace here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Warrior has Loana pressed against the cage, preventing Loana from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Loana lands with a short punch from the clinch.

The fighters land in half guard but Warrior regains guard immediately. Loana sitting in guard, not really doing much. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Loana trying to control the position from guard on top but Warrior is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Loana is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Loana slips nicely into half guard. Warrior is looking to escape. Loana is nestled in close to Warrior, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Nice strikes from Loana there. Warrior wants to improve his position but Loana is controlling well.
Warrior pushes Loana off looking to stand but Loana dives back in and keeps control.
Loana seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Loana is keen to just control but Warrior is a slippery customer. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Loana in particular looking to stall. Warrior is controlling Loana's position as best he can from this difficult position. Warrior is not content to let Loana control the position. Marvin Loana is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Well, if Loana is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Loana lands a lovely overhand right.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Loana lands a nice shot that snaps Warrior's head back.

Loana scores with the left hand. Warrior knows he should have avoided that one. Loana has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Warrior shoots in but no luck this time. Jimmy Warrior is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Loana is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Loana moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Loana might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Warrior fails with a takedown attempt. It seemed like Loana was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
And that's the end of the fight! Marvin Loana comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Loana has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
