Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Saint James (ranked 24030 p4p, 4268 weight class) and Zorks Abud (ranked 0 p4p, 459 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Saint James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zorks Abud! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abud misses with a combination
and James counters with a nice double leg into guard. James sitting in guard here, content to control. Abud really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. James throws a big elbow that misses. James with a flurry of punches that miss. James lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. James trying to control the position from guard on top but Abud is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. James throwing strikes from guard but Abud blocks nicely. James thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James passes easily into side control. Nice work. James misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's one minute gone in the round. James wants to lay and pray for a moment but Abud keeps working. James tries for a kimura but Abud is defending well. James throws a strike aimed at the side of Abud's head but Abud avoids it well. Abud wants to control but James postures up. Abud avoids any damage from the ground and pound of James. James misses with an attempted head punch from side control. James trying to control the position but Abud is working away. James is really struggling to control Abud but he's trying to hold on to the position. James thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Abud is not content to let James control the position. James could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. James wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Abud, who protects the arm well. James is breathing heavily. James postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Abud wants to control but James postures up. Abud tries to improve position but can't. James in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James controlling from side mount. James is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Abud knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Abud is looking for a sweep. James wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Abud, who protects the arm well. James in side control, throwing shots but Abud defends. James is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Abud has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. James is looking to take a break and control but Abud is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. James goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Abud has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for James but great work by Abud. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! James is looking for a sweep. Abud trying to control the position but James is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Abud stands up and beckons James to his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Saint James dominated that round. That's time! James's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Abud misses with a few strikes there.
James is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Abud. Abud misses with a combination
and James counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by James. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as James accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. James has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. James content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. James won't allow Abud to get back to his feet. Saint James overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. James with a flurry of punches that miss. James works a leg free and moves into half guard. That's one minute gone in the round. Abud is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. James winds up and cracks Abud with a swinging punch to the side of the head. James throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. James is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Abud can do to turn this around? James seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Abud does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. James working Abud over with strikes. James is trying to control. Abud wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. James is looking for submissions but instead, Abud has regained full guard.

James might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. James sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Abud's guard. James missing with the ground and pound from half guard. James thows a huge punch but Abud dodges it nicely.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. A combination from Abud does no damage. Donk. Abud catches James right on the button with a cross.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James slips under a jab. James drops down looking for a counter takedown but Abud sprawls and moves away. Abud misses with a double jab
and James decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Abud's guard. Abud avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. James wants to pass the guard but Abud is keeping the position. James drops back looking for a leg! Abud is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Abud manages to kick James off! James jumps back into Abud's guard. Abud preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Abud is trying to keep James in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Abud utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Abud lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. James looking to hit a scissor sweep but Abud is one step ahead there. James working a defensive guard here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. James doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Saint James dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! No joy there for Abud, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
James wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Abud closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Saint James has been cut. Abud rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but James moves out of range and avoids them all easily. James shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Abud sprawls well. Abud wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. James gets slowly back to his feet. Abud throws a counter combo. Zorks Abud is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. James fails with the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Abud misses with a few strikes there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Abud looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Abud lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but James circles away quickly and effectively. James shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. James throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Abud works some decent striking defense from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as James accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. James working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Abud keeping full guard, as James tries to pass. James is working hard here to advance position. James advances position into side control! Saint James is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James taking a breather here. Abud tries to escape but James is in control. James remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Abud throws a series of punches but James moves out of range. Abud throws a shot from downtown. James moves away and avoids it. Zorks Abud is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Abud misses with the combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Abud looking to hit a scissor sweep but James is one step ahead there. James pushes down on Abud's leg and manages to get into half guard. James takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. James wants to lay and pray for a moment but Abud keeps working. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Zorks Abud has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! James slows the pace down in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Zorks Abud. I think James has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
