Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aramis Knox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Don Juan!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox has Juan up against the cage in a clinch.
A short uppercut from Knox.
Knox pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Knox keeps control of Juan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Juan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Juan on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Knox prevents Juan from breaking the clinch.
Knox misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Juan.
Knox makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Knox gets control of Juan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Knox will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Knox is controlling Juan's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Knox is looking to cinch up a triangle. Juan throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Knox's body to avoid the submission. Knox has instead reached around Juan's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Knox arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
