Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Twig Coleman (ranked 5585 p4p, 5405 weight class) and Arthur Edwards (ranked 381 p4p, 375 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Twig Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Arthur Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Edwards fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Coleman to the ground. Edwards is now in Coleman's guard.
Edwards won't allow Coleman to sweep him here.
Coleman is adopting a defensive guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Edwards working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Coleman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Edwards manages to get himself to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Coleman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Edwards for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Coleman has picked Edwards up - he's going for a ride! Coleman dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Coleman tries to pass the half guard into mount. Edwards knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Coleman looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Coleman drops back looking for a leg! Edwards is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Edwards manages to kick Coleman off! Coleman jumps back into Edwards's guard.
Edwards has momentary wrist control but Coleman slips an elbow through the middle.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Twig Coleman will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Edwards dives in for a single leg takedown but Coleman sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Edwards wants to get back to his feet but Coleman passes into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coleman is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Edwards. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Coleman has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Edwards is in real trouble here. Coleman gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Edwards is tapping out! Coleman wins by rear naked choke!
