The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Alyssa Summers and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Banks was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

A little feinted left hand from Banks on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

so Banks counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Banks tries to free his leg and advance position but Gonzalez is retaining full guard.

Gonzalez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like Judas Gonzalez has been cut.

Banks is nestled in close to Gonzalez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Banks is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Banks thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gonzalez's head.
Gonzalez seems to have recovered his senses.

Gonzalez has hold of Banks's hands but Banks slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Banks lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Well, if Banks is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Banks lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Gonzalez quite badly. Gonzalez pulls Banks in close trying to recover. Banks postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Gonzalez on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Gonzalez doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robbie Banks!
