PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dude Dukes (ranked 5365 p4p, 5126 weight class) and Peter Pan (ranked 611 p4p, 600 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dude Dukes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Peter Pan!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dukes stuffs the takedown attempt from Pan. Pan gets slowly back to his feet.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dukes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dukes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Our spies down at at Special Ops N7 Training inform us that Pan has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Dukes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dukes drops back looking for a leg! Pan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pan manages to kick Dukes off! Dukes jumps back into Pan's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Dukes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

I've got Pan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
