The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Gunnarsson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Smith has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gunnarsson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Gunnarsson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Smith to keep the fight standing.
