Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Burns (ranked 4337 p4p, 4358 weight class) and Joao Freitas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joao Freitas !
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freitas moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Burns gets tackled into the cage by Freitas . Freitas maintains the clinch.
Burns turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Burns manages to end up in side control.
Freitas wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Burns is putting a hurting on Freitas here, landing some big shots from side control.
Burns tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Burns has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Freitas can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burns tries to advance to mount but Freitas denies him.
Burns controls the position.
Freitas tries to improve position but can't.
Freitas trying to remain calm as Burns controls from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
