Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Peter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bob Smith was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Smith! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith fails with a takedown attempt. Peter fails in his attempt to clinch. Peter fails in his attempt to clinch. Smith is trying hard to land a takedown here. Peter sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nice takedown defense from Peter. No joy for Smith on that attempt. That's two minutes gone in the round. Peter tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Smith throws a wild body kick that Peter sees coming a mile off. Mark Peter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Peter wants to clinch. Smith drives through with a takedown into guard. Smith looking to sit in guard and control but Peter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Smith is looking for a triangle but Peter pushes his legs off easily.
Smith has his foot on Peter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Peter works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peter wanted to stand there but Smith had control of the position. Smith is trying to hold Peter in close to prevent damage but Peter has managed to pass into half guard.
Peter wants to stand but Smith has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Smith actively working from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Smith regains full guard. Nicely done. Smith throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Peter has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Smith is proving hard to escape from. Smith looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Peter passes into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smith is looking to regain half guard here but Peter keeps moving and retains side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Peter prevents the takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Peter gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Smith.

Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Peter swivels and escapes. Peter drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith is working for takedown but Peter is calmly controlling the position for now. Peter landing knees to the body.

Peter has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Smith to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Peter is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Smith pulls down on the head and he's put Peter to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bob Smith!
