PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Micah Slovavich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rising' by Stuck Mojo kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slovavich fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Slovavich closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.


It looks like Micah Slovavich has been cut.
Slovavich avoids a punch combination nicely.
Peterson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Peterson cracks Slovavich with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Slovavich shoots in and drives through. Peterson sprawls well.
Peterson throws a right hand that Slovavich ducks under and follows up with a left that Slovavich also avoids with ease.
Slovavich looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peterson is fending him off so far but Slovavich persists. Nope, Peterson circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

That was a close second round but I would say that Micah Slovavich will probably get the nod.

Peterson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Peterson.

Curtis Peterson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Peterson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
