Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Kramer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Balogh Szabolcs! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kramer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Szabolcs is concentrating on defense, preventing Kramer from advancing position. Kramer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Szabolcs is just riding it out for now. Kramer eventually gives up the hold. Szabolcs is defending against the submission attempts here by Kramer.
Szabolcs wants to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kramer is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Szabolcs has managed to free his arm - good work. Kramer is looking to advance position but Szabolcs won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Szabolcs tries to get to full guard but Kramer has control of the leg. Szabolcs felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Kramer in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Szabolcs tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kramer!
