Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Igor Liviazoa (ranked 4408 p4p, 5258 weight class) and Landon Cox (ranked 461 p4p, 504 weight class). Landon Cox is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Igor Liviazoa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Landon Cox!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liviazoa as he jumps to the side.
Liviazoa connects with a single shot there.
Cox takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Cox fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cox fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Liviazoa scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Liviazoa looking to score a takedown here. Cox is defending well but Liviazoa drives through and ends up in Cox's guard.
Cox looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Liviazoa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cox on the ground.

It looks like Cox might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Cox pushes down on Liviazoa's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cox tries to pass the half guard into mount. Liviazoa knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Cox seems to be looking for submissions.
Liviazoa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Liviazoa tries to get out of the position.
Cox decides to stand up.

Cox throws a right and a left that Liviazoa avoids nicely.

Liviazoa takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Liviazoa connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cox's hands.
Liviazoa is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Liviazoa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cox moves into the clinch successfully.

Cox has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Liviazoa uses from the top position.

Liviazoa lunges at Cox with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Cox's hand.
Cox gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Cox breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cox shoots for a double leg takedown but Liviazoa sprawls well. He's pushed Cox's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Landon Cox is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Liviazoa throws an overhand right that lands on Cox's shoulder, as Cox tries to avoid the shot.
Igor Liviazoa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cox walks into a straight right hand from Liviazoa.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Liviazoa dives in and grabs Cox's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cox pushes down on Liviazoa's head and hops out.

Liviazoa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cox can do to turn this around?

Cox looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Liviazoa is fending him off so far but Cox persists. Nope, Liviazoa circles away and we're back to standing.

Cox throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Liviazoa's waist but Liviazoa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cox off to one side.

Cox is breathing heavily.
Liviazoa shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Liviazoa showed some decent athleticism there.
Cox is not content to let Liviazoa control the position.
Liviazoa is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Liviazoa is keen to just control but Cox is a slippery customer.
Liviazoa perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Liviazoa is stalling here. Cox is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Liviazoa seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Cox has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Liviazoa wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Cox seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Liviazoa is tapping! Wow, great finish!
