PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Higanti Libat (ranked 23761 p4p, 24080 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 37 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 34 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Libat fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nada avoids it really well and circles away.
Nada fails with a takedown attempt.
Libat thinks about countering with a body kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Libat fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nada sprawls well initially but Libat persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Nada has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Libat is proving hard to escape from.

Nada fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nada shoots for a double leg takedown but Libat sprawls well. He's pushed Nada's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nada shoots in but Libat avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Higanti Libat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Way Nada.

Nada throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Libat's waist but Libat gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nada off to one side.

Nada shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Libat as he avoids it easily.
Libat throws a quick counter kick to the body but Nada avoids it.

Nada shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Libat but Libat pushes him off and we're back to square one.

I would just about give that final round to Way Nada.
