And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Boxley!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boxley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tyk moves away.
Tyk drops down looking for a counter takedown but Boxley sprawls and moves away.
We've been hearing reports that Tyk has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Tyk takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Brian Boxley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boxley stuns Tyk with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Tyk slips a jab and a cross from Boxley.
Tyk attempts a counter takedown but Boxley avoids it well and moves away.

Boxley closes the distance and clinches.
Tyk goes for a takedown attempt but Boxley pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Boxley lands a right hook to the body.
Tyk keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tyk takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Boxley connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tyk. Tyk circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Boxley lands a right hook to the body.
Boxley has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Tyk is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Boxley swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tyk.
Boxley cracks a nice hook into Tyk's ribs.
Boxley lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tyk at a distance.
Tyk is breathing heavily.
Boxley fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Boxley lands with a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boxley works Tyk's body with a nice hook.

Boxley moves into the clinch.
Boxley lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Boxley is working Tyk over against the cage.
Boxley lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Tyk backwards.
Boxley lands with a light punch inside.
Boxley scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Tyk is rocked!
Boxley lands a hook that snaps the head of Tyk backwards.
Oh Tyk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Boxley digs a right hand underneath Tyk's ribcage. Tyk let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Tyk seems to have got his legs back now.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Boxley creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Boxley throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Tyks head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tyk is trying to pull guard but Boxley has him pressed against the cage.
Tyk takes a shot to the head.
Boxley scores with a shoulder strike.
Tyk tries to pull guard but Boxley won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ton Tyk. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Boxley drops Tyk onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Tyk is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Boxley creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Tyk's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Tyk drops to his knees and Boxley pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brian Boxley!
A less than humble Brian Boxley misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
