Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Grave (ranked 1705 p4p, 1423 weight class) and Rio Gracie (ranked 229 p4p, 185 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Grave! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rio Gracie! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie moves away from the strike by Grave. Gracie is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Grave with a body shot. Grave thows a left - swing and a miss! A head kick misses from Grave. Gracie blocks a jab. Grave ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Gracie gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Rio Gracie has been cut. Gracie has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Grave finds it's way round the side to connect with Gracie's head. Gracie moves out of range of the body kick from Grave.
Gracie swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. A cross from Grave lands. Grave fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Grave lands a left and a right that send Gracie crashing to the mat, dazed. Grave thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Gracie is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Grave will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can Grave finish him? No luck for Gracie with that takedown attempt. Gracie seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That has opened up Rio Gracie's cut even more. Gracie fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Grave swings for the body but Gracie moves out of range.
It seemed like Gracie was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Grave feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gracie sprawling to the canvas! Gracie rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Grave finish him?!
Gracie slips a jab from Grave. Jack Grave is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Grave tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gracie was well out of range. Poor timing from Grave. Gracie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice straight punches there by Grave. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Grave. We've been told by Grave's head coaches at Dangerous Fight Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Grave lands a slapping body shot.
Grave bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gracie's head backwards. Grave looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oooooh!!! Grave has knocked Gracie down with a huge combo! Grave steps away and waves a wobbly Gracie back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Gracie is holding his hands too far apart here. Grave throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Gracie is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jack Grave! Jack Grave decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
