Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Kawainui Perry (ranked 5496 p4p, 24333 weight class) and Michael Venom (ranked 468 p4p, 492 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kawainui Perry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Venom !
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venom keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Perry throws a leg kick but Venom moved away.
Venom has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Perry connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Venom 's hands.
Venom misses with a wild body shot.
Perry attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Venom throws out a loose jab but Perry uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Venom , as that shot connected.
Perry connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Perry tries to clinch
and Venom counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Perry throws a shot from downtown. Venom moves away and avoids it.
Perry lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Perry moves out of range as Venom strikes.
Perry throws an off balance right hand
and Venom counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Perry misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Venom counters with a nice body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Perry throws a head kick that misses
and Venom counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Perry misses with an uppercut. Venom saw that one coming.
Perry takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Perry is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Venom thuds his right hand into Perry's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Kawainui Perry has been cut.
Perry misses with a right hand
and Venom counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Perry throws a looping overhand right but Venom ducks down to avoid it.
Perry drops his guard momentarily, allowing Venom to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Perry! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Venom takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Michael Venom !
Our winner, Michael Venom , made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
