Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Ichigho Kurosaki (ranked 5402 p4p, 4430 weight class) and Cornbread Pealike (ranked 503 p4p, 452 weight class). Cornbread Pealike has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ichigho Kurosaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cornbread Pealike!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurosaki scores with a sloppy right hand. Pealike should have avoided that one.
Pealike swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Pealike forces Kurosaki back against the ropes and clinches.
Pealike is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kurosaki is defending well for now.
Pealike tries a body shot but Kurosaki blocks it.

Kurosaki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cornbread Pealike seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Cornbread Pealike has been cut.
Pealike digs a right hand into Kurosaki's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kurosaki's gas tank.
The referee calls for Kurosaki to work.

Kurosaki fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pealike has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Pealike counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Kurosaki lands a head kick that bluckles Pealike and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Kurosaki no doubt looking to push for a finish!

Pealike's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Pealike tries to break free but Kurosaki pushes him back against the ropes.
Kurosaki lands with a light punch inside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kurosaki is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pealike can do to turn this around?
Pealike swings wildly with an uppercut but Kurosaki uses good head movement to avoid it.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Kurosaki creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Kurosaki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pealike has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pealike there as he acknowledges the shot.

Kurosaki is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kurosaki takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Kurosaki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kurosaki clobbers Pealike with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A left lands for Kurosaki.
Pealike is still on wobbly legs! Can Kurosaki finish him?

Nice uppercut lands for Kurosaki. That snapped Pealike's head back.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kurosaki drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Pealike onto his butt! Pealike pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
Kurosaki moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ichigho Kurosaki will take that round after scoring the only knockdown of the round.
The cut man is working on Cornbread Pealike's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ichigho Kurosaki decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
