Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 5922 p4p, 23362 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 77 - 23 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 84 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Fighter B drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fighter A is pulling down on Fighter B's head. It's preventing any offense from Fighter B, at least for the moment.
Fighter B missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Fighter A working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fighter B.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter B trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Fighter A is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Fighter A stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fighter A wants it to stay on the feet.

Fighter A shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fighter B manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Fighter B pulls Fighter A in close to his closed guard and prevents Fighter A from doing any damage or advancing position.
Fighter B is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Fighter B doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Fighter A postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B pulls Fighter A in close to prevent any damage.
Fighter A controls from within his opponent's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Fighter A closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Fighter B's guard.
Fighter A throws a big right hand that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fighter A working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fighter A prevents Fighter B from getting back to his feet.
Fighter B managing to control the position.
Fighter A postures up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Xxx Xxx dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Fighter B shoots in but Fighter A avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Fighter A was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Fighter B shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fighter A's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter B postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Fighter A controlling the position.
Fighter B throwing strikes but missing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter B throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fighter A works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Fighter B is looking to work some ground and pound but Fighter A has wrist control.
Fighter B throws a big elbow that misses.
Fighter B postures up in Fighter A's guard and throws a big left but Fighter A blocks it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Fighter B shoots in but no luck this time.
Fighter A quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Fighter A misses with a takedown
and Fighter B counters with a body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fighter A shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fighter B sprawls well. Fighter B wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fighter A gets slowly back to his feet.
Fighter B steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Fighter B shoots for a takedown but Fighter A saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B shoots in for a takedown but Fighter A shows good takedown defense.
It appears Fighter A was looking to counter with a kick there.
Fighter B shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fighter A pinned against the cage. Fighter A gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fighter A throws a quick counter head kick but Fighter B was just out of range.
Fighter A is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fighter B sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Fighter B gets caught napping as Fighter A dives in and scores a takedown. Fighter B manages to retain guard.
Fighter B wants to sweep but no luck.
Fighter B is trying to control the position but Fighter A postures up.
Fighter B tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fighter B seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter A is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Fighter B closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fighter A to the mat! Fighter A manages to get full guard.
Fighter A managing to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fighter B wants to control from the top but Fighter A keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter B scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter B postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fighter A holds on and takes a little breather.
Fighter A's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Fighter A shoots in and gets a takedown into Fighter B's guard.

Fighter A is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Fighter B is adopting a defensive guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Xxx Xxx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fighter B wants to sweep here but Fighter A controlling him for the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Fighter B feints and as Fighter A raises his hands in defense, Fighter B changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Xxx Xxx comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Fighter B has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
